What equipment do I need?
None of our workouts require equipment, but some workouts benefit from the addition of a few basic items.
Resistance bands
Resistance bands are large stretchy bands that increase the difficulty of certain moves and increase strength and stability.
Alternatives — small weights or water bottles
Handheld weights
Light handheld weights between 2-5lb to increase resistance and build strength.
Alternatives — water bottles or soup cans
Exercise block (a.k.a. Yoga block)
Exercise blocks are foam or cork blocks used for support and stability.
Alternatives — pillow or ball
Small Pilates ball
Pilates balls are soft inflatable balls that help increase flexibility, coordination and balance.
Alternatives — pillow or kids ball
Foam Roller
When selecting a foam roller, opt for a low or medium density.
Massage Ball
Massage balls are great for releasing trigger points and tight connective tissue.
Alternatives — tennis or lacrosse ball
Foam Roller
Opt for a 36" low or medium density roller instead of high density. This will allow your body to relax into the foam roller instead of tensing up against it.
